EASVOLEE – Effects on Air quality of Semi-VOLatile Engine Emissions

EASVOLEE project at the European Aerosol Conference 2025

The EASVOLEE project successfully participated in the European Aerosol Conference (EAC) 2025, held from August 31 to September 5 in Lecce, Italy. The event brought together around 1,100 participants from across the globe, providing a lively forum for discussions on cutting-edge research in aerosol science and technology, with particular focus on air quality, atmospheric processes, emissions, and their implications for health and climate.

EASVOLEE was well represented at the conference, where project partners presented new scientific findings. Three oral presentations and five posters highlighted progress in understanding emissions from transportation engines under real driving conditions, the formation of secondary particulate matter (PM) in the atmosphere, and the impacts of both fresh and aged PM on human health.

Beyond the scientific program, participants enjoyed vibrant exchanges with peers, valuable networking opportunities, and the welcoming atmosphere of Lecce, accompanied by its sunny climate and excellent Italian cuisine.

EASVOLEE’s strong presence at EAC 2025 highlighted the project’s commitment to linking cutting-edge research with policy needs, fostering progress toward cleaner air and enhanced understanding of aerosols under evolving environmental conditions.
