In the beginning of December, the EASVOLEE project started the campaign of vehicle emission measurements under realistic environments in the biggest indoor parking facility in Patras, Greece. FORTH and PSI teams work together characterizing the emissions of the vehicle fleet focusing on cold start emissions.
The chemical aging of these emissions and the production of secondary organic aerosol are also investigated. These types of measurements in such an environment are the first ever to be performed. Measurements include both the continuous automatic techniques and collection of gas and aerosol samples for subsequent off-line analysis.
